Hi, I’m Maduka! I’m thrilled you’re here. Let me tell you about myself quickly
My earliest picture of marriage was far from perfect. Growing up, I never saw my parents love each other. Their marriage was toxic and filled with unhappiness until the day my father passed away.
At 15, I moved in with my aunty, a relationship coach who seemed to have everything I had longed to see in a marriage which includes joy, intentional love, and family harmony. But even that picture soon changed. When her husband cheated and they divorced, the love she once had turned into bitterness, and the pain ran so deep that she struggled to even love her son who resembled his father. Sad
Witnessing both of these extremes: the brokenness of my parents’ marriage and the painful collapse of my aunt’s once happy home gave me a lot to think about. I wondered: Is lasting love really possible?
Years later, after graduating from university, I got married myself. And today, by God’s grace, I have been happily married for over 7 years to my best friend. We have had minor issues but never a major one, and our love continues to grow stronger with each passing day. Together, we are blessed with three wonderful children, and our home is filled with peace, love, and laughter.
It is from these experiences; the struggles I witnessed and the joy I now live that Love that Lasts was born. My mission is simple: to share real lessons about marriage and relationships so you can avoid the mistakes I saw, embrace the truths I learned, and build a home filled with love that truly lasts.
This blog is for you, whether you’re dating, newly married, or many years into your journey. I hope my stories, insights, and practical tips will inspire you to believe in love, fight for it, and nurture it daily.
With love,
Maduka
